Warren Neil Alloway, 75, of Belpre, Ohio, died Friday, May 24, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 4, 1943 in New Matamoras, Ohio, to Charles T. and Kathinka E. Kollman Alloway.
Neil was a 1961 graduate of Stover High School in New Matamoras. He retired from DuPont in 2001 after 38 years of employment. Neil enjoyed golfing, his excavating work and making homemade ice cream.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Arnold Alloway, whom he married on May 29, 1999; two sons, Gary Alloway of Waterford and Kenny Alloway (Dorothy Birt) of Coolville, Ohio; siblings, Bradley Alloway (Jean) of Marietta, Ohio; Charles Alloway (Ingrid) of Greenwood, SC, Joan Smith (Earl) of Lowell, Ohio, and Amanda Merckle of Sardis; five step children, Julie Oden (Trent) of Sheridan, Arkansas, Michael Pinkerton (Tracey) of Delaware, Ohio, Jamie Hopkins (Jeff) of Westminster, Maryland, Joseph Pinkerton (Jody) of Dublin, Ohio and Angela Pinkerton of Marietta; 13 step grand children, one step great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Hayes; and brothers in law, Harry Merckle and Paul Hayes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Dr. Lloyd Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Churchtown. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be directed to Amedisys Hospice in Neil's memory.
