Wilbur Gene Caffey, 90, of Lowell, and formerly of San Dimas, CA, died Saturday, November 9, 2013, at The Arbors. He was born in San Dimas on February 25, 1923, to Lon and Vera Wilcox Caffey. He was a 1941 graduate of Bonita High School in California. He was a survivor of Pearl Harbor, having served in the Navy during World War II. Wilbur's profession was a welder, having worked various places and being self -employed. He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball and was an avid bicyclist. Wilbur is survived by his three sons, Jay (Carol) of Windsor, CO, Burt (Denise) of Hermiston, OR and Allen (Mary Beth) of Lowell, seven grandchildren, Raymond, Craig, Ashley, Jana and Misty Caffey, Jennifer Price and Chris Harris, seven great grandchildren, Joshua, Calev, Alexandria, Andrea, Kyle, Cadence and Camden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Parry Caffey on November 29, 2012. There will be services held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, and burial of his ashes in Oakdale Memorial Garden in Glendora, CA. The Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is assisting the family.
