Wilda J. Gossman, 96, of Marietta, Ohio, died at her home on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. She was born on March 3, 1923 in Tunnel, Ohio, to William B. and Lydia Mae Sciance Berry.
Wilda was a bingo worker for RSVP at the O'Neill Senior Center. She also worked for Special Touch Ministries, making afghans for still born babies. Wilda was Catholic by faith, loved quilting and crocheting, enjoyed watching and listening to her Cincinnati Reds, and when able, going to the fields and watching local softball.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Chalfant (Tom) of Marietta; brother, Charles Berry (Shirley) of Zanesville, Ohio; daughters in law, Amy Meiser and Wanda Meiser; many nieces and nephews; and many grand, great and great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Gossman, whom she married on December 8, 1961; two sons, Charles and Thomas Meiser; and seven siblings.
Abiding by her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services. Her ashes will be buried in Church of Atonement Cemetery in Crooksville, Ohio at a later time.
