William "Bill" Nelson Page Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on November 27, 1950, in Beckley, West Virginia to William and Carolyn Klaus Page. Bill was a cherished resident of Marietta, Ohio, where he spent the majority of his life surrounded by family and friends.
Bill was a member of the Marietta High School Class of 1969. He later served his country honorably in the United States Navy. His dedication and work ethic were evident throughout his career as a Shift Supervisor at Mountain State Steel, Eramet, and Novalex. He had a passion for spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren, especially his special girls Amelia and Molly. His love and dedication to his family were unmatched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 50 years, Jane Page, whom he married on July 12, 1975. Together, they built a loving family, including their daughters, Courtney (Greg Kise), Kelleigh, and Jennifer Page, and their son, William Page and his wife Amanda, whom he loved as a daughter as well. He was a proud grandfather to Caleb, Kadence, Kouper, Brilynn, Amelia, and Molly, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Ann Christensen (Bob), Carol Page, Susan Cooper (Phil), Jeanne Whittekind (Dave), and Paula Binkley, as well as his brothers-in-law, Steve Jansen (Dinx) and Paul Jansen (Lynn). Bill was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a special great uncle to Emma Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Rocky Binkley.
A funeral service will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the MARIETTA CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOMES, on Friday, February 14, 2025. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Marietta City Schools Lady Tigers Athletics, 111 Academy Drive, Marietta, OH 45750, in Bill's honor.
