William Wayne "Bill" Cronin, 60, of 714 Second St., Marietta, died at 4:31 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 22, 2008) at home, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on Oct. 2, 1948, in Marietta, the son of the late Clyde "Rocky" and Verneda Rumbold Cronin. He attended Marietta High School and was employed for a number of years by Kardex in Reno, was a member of the Marietta Painters Union and later retired from the State of Ohio Welfare Department. Bill was a member of the Marietta Bible Center. He is survived by his wife, Bonita Greene Cronin; son, David Cronin of Marietta; stepson, Michael Smith (Jessica) of Cambridge; stepdaughter, Rose Coletto (Gil Tapia) of Marietta; granddaughter, C.J. Spencer of Caldwell; sister, LaStella Upton of Hawthorne, Fla.; and brother, Ernest Cronin of Whipple. A brother, Jack Cronin, preceded him in death. Abiding with Bill's wishes, he has been cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
