William David Omspach, 83, of Leesburg, FL and formerly of Lowell and Beverly, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009, in Leesburg. He was born January 7, 1926 in Winchester, IN to William Albert and Dorotha Gladys Burke Omspach. He had been employed as an engineer with American Electric Power, retiring in 1986. He had served in the U.S. Army, as a corporal, during World War II. He had been a member of the American Legion Post #64 in Marietta. Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia Louise Sockrider Omspach, they were married on September 8, 1951; children, Cynthia Schwendeman (Kevin) of Lowell, William Craig Omspach (Barbara) of Ashburn, VA, Deborah Imbrogno of Gahanna, OH, Sandra Morgan of Sebastian, FL, daughter in law, Tonia Omspach of Lowell; grandchildren, Ryann Jewett, Brandon Schwendeman, William P., Timothy, Joseph, Dustin and Dominick Omspach, Jonathan, Christina and Michael Contino, Sarah Imbrogno, Jennifer Bruce, Brian and Christopher Karcher, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, and a son, Stephen Omspach. There will be memorial services held in Leesburg in early April.
